Postdoctoral Researcher, ETH Zurich
Welcome!
My name is Sarah Spycher and I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at ETH Zurich as a part of the Sustainability Economics Group. I completed my PhD in 2023 at the University of Bern and then spent two years at the University of Bologna as a SNSF-funded Postdoctoral Researcher.
In my research, I am interested in how political economy frictions hinder more successful environmental policy. As such, I primarily work at the intersection of environmental economics and political economy, using both theoretical and experimental approaches.

In the upcoming months, I will be at the CESifo Area Conference on Energy and Climate Economics, the SURED conference and the WCERE.
New paper! Very happy to see our 34-nation study on the private solution trap out in PNAS. Read more on Linkedin.
